About us
This is Advance Pharma
Advance Pharma stands for advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing from Berlin-Reinickendorf. On a total area of around 26,000 square metres, we produce high-quality generics for Aristo Pharma and various well-known third-party customers. At our site, around 190 employees work in the areas of administration, laboratory, warehouse and production.
The structuring of our manufacturing processes into different priority levels enables us to flexibly implement different order volumes – with large-scale production as our core business. This optimises both our resource management and the utilisation of our machines. In addition, we work closely with other companies in the Aristo Pharma Group so that we can always find a suitable solution for order requests.
Our role within the Aristo Pharma Group
Aristo Pharma was founded in 2008 from the merger of various traditional German pharmaceutical companies, some of whose roots go back to 1875. Today, Aristo Pharma's core business is the production and distribution of sought-after active ingredients in the generics market, which are usually marketed under their own brand. The independent production sets the group apart from most German pharmaceutical suppliers. In addition, the broad range of prescription and over-the-counter medicines extends from tried-and-tested herbal medicines to modern medical products and aids.
The composition of the Aristo Pharma Group is as diverse as its product portfolio: In addition to the company headquarters in Berlin, the group comprises five production sites – in Hilden, Wernigerode, twice in the German capital Berlin and in Madrid - as well as its own logistics centre in Osterweddingen. This makes Aristo Pharma stand out as one of the few suppliers in Germany that manufacture their medicines predominantly in Germany or Europe.
Together with the 14 distribution sites throughout Europe, the company can draw on the know-how of more than 1,600 employees. They all make a valuable contribution to the success of the Aristo Pharma Group's mission: the reliable and affordable supply of high-quality medicines.
With its high productivity, Advance Pharma contributes significantly to the sales successes of the Aristo Pharma Group. The clear division of the internal manufacturing processes into different stages ensures the reliable completion of the medicinal products - whether on behalf of Aristo Pharma or various third-party customers.

Our history
In 1998, Lichtwer Pharma GmbH laid the foundation stone at the current location in Wallenroder Straße. The Berlin-based pharmaceutical manufacturer was founded in 1981.
In the year 2000, operations are started. At that time, the production exclusively comprised herbal medicinal products and medical devices.
In mid-2006, the building is transferred to ad.de pharma production GmbH & Co KG. The employees are also taken on. In the course of this, the site specialises in the contract manufacturing of solid pharmaceutical forms. The production technology is expanded. An explosion-protected area for processing organic solvents and fluidised bed spray granulation are introduced. A compulsory mixer is also added to the plant.
In September 2007, the newly founded Advance Pharma GmbH takes over the business, including the employees.

In 2011, the site joins the Aristo Pharma Group.
Between 2017 and 2018, the packaging department will be modernised. After the introduction of Track & Trace for the entire area, the expansion to eight packaging lines will follow, as well as the acquisition of a modern high-speed blister line, which produces the largest output within the company group.
From 2019, numerous measures will increase the energy efficiency of the building technology and production. Production capacity will be expanded in 2021 through the acquisition of a coater, a pharmaceutical mixer and the largest fluid bed granulator in the company's history.
